Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my website and read a little bit about me.
My name is Sarah and I'm a Work at Home Mum of 2 small children.
I've always had an interest in sewing / embroidery and crafts (I have the Brownies to thank for that !) and my love of felt began when I created some textile pictures for my children's rooms.
After creating the felt and textile pictures things gradually moved on, I developed an interest in needle-felting and began to create a range of felt accessories. I've got (what I think) is a great range of hand felted hair accessories especially for little girls, beautiful felt corsages and brooches for mums, hand felted bracelets for both mums and daughters and lovely felted and beaded keyrings, all of which have been designed and are handmade by me.
After an extremely busy Christmas period in 2007, it became obvious that lots of other people also like felt , so I decided to design a whole new range of felted household accessories and outsourced the production of these items to a small co-operative of women in Nepal. My business, along with a number of other clients has enabled these women, most of whom are the main providers for their family, to have a regular income and provide a better standard of living. All of the items I have made in Nepal are made exclusively for Blooming Felt, and are completely handmade, using 100% wool.
I believe the possibilties for felt are endless and hope that my passion for this wonderful medium shows through in the pieces I have designed exclusively for Blooming Felt and ultimately, for you.
